Flowable Single Pour

Add 25kg of powder to 5 litres of clean water and mix to a smooth, lump-free consistency. The material pours rather than packs: it self-levels into the repair and needs only light trowelling to close it off, at any depth from 5mm to 100mm in one application. Pot life is 5-10 minutes at 20°C, so mix only what you can pour immediately.

Rapid Strength Development

The fibre reinforced, polymer modified cement gains strength fast enough to return the floor to service the same shift. At 20°C the repair takes foot traffic in 30-60 minutes and forklift traffic in approximately 2 hours. Compressive strength passes 20N/mm² at one day and 45N/mm² at 28 days, tested to EN 13892-2.

Performance Profile

Fibre reinforced, polymer modified cement mortar. Mixed with water it pours as a slurry and self-levels into the repair. Strength builds fast — above 20N/mm² at one day, above 45N/mm² at 28 days, tested to EN 13892-2. Light foot traffic in 30 to 60 minutes, forklifts in around two hours.

Product Details

Description

EverFlor FlowFix Patch is a cement-based repair mortar, fibre reinforced and polymer modified, supplied as a dry powder in a plastic mixing bucket. It is a one-component product: add clean water, mix, and pour. No primer is needed and no resin components have to be weighed or blended.

The mixed material is a free-flowing slurry rather than a stiff mortar. Poured into a prepared hole it self-levels, so finishing is limited to a light trowel where placement needs assisting. It can be placed at any depth between 5mm and 100mm in a single application, which covers most of the damage found in industrial concrete: spalled bays, broken edges, worn doorways and potholes, inside and out.

Holes in a working floor are more than a cosmetic problem. They slow pedestrian and wheeled traffic, add to housekeeping, and present a trip and handling risk. FlowFix Patch closes them quickly. Strength development is rapid — above 20N/mm² at one day and above 45N/mm² at 28 days, tested to EN 13892-2 under EN 13813:2002. The repair takes light foot traffic in 30 to 60 minutes and forklift traffic in around two hours at 20°C. Once cured it resists oils and grease, and after approximately 24 hours it can be overcoated with a suitable floor coating.

Recommended areas of use

  • Damaged concrete floors in warehouses and factories
  • Loading bays and distribution centres
  • Workshops and industrial premises
  • Internal and external concrete surfaces
  • Holes and voids filled prior to resurfacing

Features

  • Pours and self-levels into the repair, so finishing is minimal
  • One powder, one water ratio, mixing bucket supplied with the 25kg kit
  • Fibre reinforced and polymer modified for a durable repair under wheeled traffic
  • Light foot traffic in 30-60 minutes and forklifts in approximately 2 hours at 20°C
  • Compressive strength above 45N/mm² at 28 days
  • Placed at any depth from 5mm to 100mm in one application
  • Resistant to oils and grease once cured
  • Serviceable from -20°C to 70°C, interior and exterior
  • No primer required, and the substrate may be damp

Good to know

Pot life is short — 5 to 10 minutes at 20°C. Mix beside the repair rather than at the water source, and mix only what you can pour straight away. Do not add extra water to buy working time: it extends curing and reduces performance.

The substrate may be damp but must not hold standing water. Cut the edges of the repair square to depth rather than feathering out where medium or heavy traffic is expected. The product is not suitable for repairs on sloping surfaces. Do not apply below 5°C, and protect fresh material from freezing until fully cured; at around 5°C allow up to 24 hours before putting the floor into service.

Application

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be structurally sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, paint, curing compounds and anything else that would impair adhesion. Remove all loose or friable material by suitable mechanical preparation. Wire brushing or sweeping is generally sufficient on sound concrete.

Cut the edges of the repair square where possible to give a secure bond, particularly in heavily trafficked areas. The substrate may be damp, but it must not contain standing water. No primer is required.

MIXING

Place approximately 5 litres of clean water in the supplied bucket or another suitable vessel. Add the 25kg of powder gradually while mixing continuously with a slow-speed electric drill and a suitable paddle. Mix until the material is smooth, lump-free and pourable.

Do not add excess water. It reduces performance and extends curing times. Mix beside the repair rather than at the water source, and mix only what you can place immediately. Pot life is 5 to 10 minutes at 20°C.

APPLICATION

Pour the mixed material straight into the prepared area. The mortar self-levels with minimal finishing; where necessary, trowel lightly to assist placement. Apply between 5mm and 100mm in a single application.

Thin feather edges are acceptable only in lightly trafficked areas. Do not feather edge repairs that will take medium or heavy traffic. The product is not suitable for repairs on sloping surfaces.

CURING AND CLEANING

At approximately 20°C, allow 30 to 60 minutes before light foot traffic and approximately 2 hours before heavy traffic including forklifts. Setting time is 24 hours. Lower temperatures increase curing times; at around 5°C, allow up to 24 hours before placing the floor into service.

Do not apply when substrate or ambient temperatures are below the 5°C minimum, and protect freshly applied material from freezing until fully cured. Wash tools in water immediately after use. Where the repair is to be painted, allow approximately 24 hours before applying a suitable floor coating.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Does the concrete need priming before the repair?
No. FlowFix Patch needs no primer. Make sure the substrate is structurally sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, paint and curing compounds, remove loose material by mechanical preparation, then pour the mixed mortar straight into the prepared area. Cut the repair edges square where possible for a secure bond.
Can it be used on damp concrete?
Yes. The substrate may be damp, but it must not contain standing water. Remove any free water from the repair before pouring. Do not apply when the substrate or air temperature is below the 5°C minimum, and protect the fresh repair from freezing until it is fully cured.
How deep can a single pour be?
Between 5mm and 100mm in one application. Thin feather edges are only acceptable in lightly trafficked areas; where medium or heavy traffic is expected, cut the edges of the repair square to depth rather than feathering out. The product is not suitable for repairs on sloping surfaces.
How long before the floor can be used again?
At approximately 20°C, allow 30 to 60 minutes before light foot traffic and around 2 hours before heavy traffic including forklifts. Setting time is 24 hours. Lower temperatures slow this down: at around 5°C, allow up to 24 hours before putting the area back into service.
Can the repair be painted afterwards?
Yes. Allow approximately 24 hours, then overcoat with a suitable floor coating. Left uncoated the repair cures to a concrete grey finish and resists oils and grease. It is also suitable for filling holes and voids before a floor is resurfaced.
